“Mom & Gramma’s Broccoli Cauliflower Cheese Bake” (my favorite version of it, anyway)

One 2-pound bag of frozen vegetables  (Mom recommended a “California Blend” of broccoli, cauliflower, carrots.)

One can of condensed ‘cream of celery’ soup.

1/3 cup of milk.

1.5 cups (2 to 4 ounces) of cubed Velveeta.

1/4 cup of buttered bread crumbs [see substitutions below]

9″ x 13″ pan

Baking time: [????] First card says “60min at 350 degrees F”, doesn’t mention thawing veggies; Second card says “20min at 375-400 degrees F”, with thawed veggies.

Both mention topping with “buttered bread crumbs”. I remember the topping being put on 5 to 10min before end-time. I also remember substitutions like crushed and buttered Ritz crackers, and unbuttered, crushed potato chips.

Can it be done as a crockpot recipe. Internet research required.

But, going to make it the oven-way tonight for my Lady. Serve with sliced tomatoes, maybe some scrambled eggs. (She eats eggs and dairy, she does not eat meat. Challenging.)
