“Hope”

Supposedly said to Comey by President Trump in one-on-one meeting: “”I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go. He is a good guy. I hope you can let this go.”

(I can believe it.)

Then, there’s that tweet from POTUS Trump back on May 12th: “James Comey better hope that there are no “tapes” of our conversations before he starts leaking to the press!”

See, I can’t come away from reading that without thinking Trump may not be saying *he* was recording his conversation with Comey, but that he might have been thinking that FBI Guy Comey had been wearing a “wire” and recorded their conversations; the “better hope” may have been a threat, right along the lines of the joke that The Atlantic article refers to: “Nice little dry cleaning store, I hope nothing happens to it.”

But, that tweet could go either way.

Randomly scooped up from around the interwebs–

“We are a nation of laws, not of men.” ~ John Adams
“Laws grind the poor, and rich men rule the law.” ~ Oliver Goldsmith

“The measure of a man is what he does with power.” ~ attributed to Plato
“Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely” ~ Various
“You cannot speak Truth to Power; Power has no use for Truth” ~ Unknown.

I simply don’t trust Trump.
Rude, crude, NYC bully/thug. Godfather-wannabe.
In this voter’s opinion, anyway.
I’m a Moderate/Centrist Republican, getting tired of Conservative GOP, especially pandering to oligarchs/proto-monarchs in America.
